What are differences in the 10 and 18 TPI blades?
I know its 10 and 18teeth per inch, but what do you use to cut for each one? and at what speeds?

More teeth = smoother, slower cut

around 18TPI is geared more towards metal(cold rolled, SS, etc)

around 10TPI is geared more softer materials (brass, alum, wood, etc)

Yup. I use 10 teeth blades for wood or plastic. I am sure softer metal would work, but I have yet to cut it. I only have a 9" band saw, but I love it. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
