Got one in Macon, but have yet to visit it. I've been to the one in Atlanta, it was pretty cool. IMHO nothing beats Cabelas, been to both Sydney Nebraska and Mitchel South Dakota stores, and both rocked. Think one has a bargain cave, and one has a bargain loft. both incredible stores. Sure wish one would come closer to home to compete with bass pro

I've been to the one (Bass Pro Shop) in South Las Vegas. Pretty crazy store. Large Dioramas of battling elk, a WHOLE pride of lions, six bears at a waterfall.

They are now building a Bass Pro 5 minutes from my house and a Cabelas about 20 mins away.

Yes it does and it has an incredible gun library not to mention the archery range.

I wasn't too impressed with GIJoes either in Washington rather week and over priced even on their parking lot sales.

The Bass Pro in Broken Arrow has a Starbucks inside. Two story store, real nice. The one in Branson though is a lot better:D

The BP in OKC is like a big over priced Wal Mart. Quality and shoppers alike.

There's a BassPro near my house, and I drive by a Cabella's every couple of weeks. I like basspro over cabella's, but niether is very good. Cabella's customer service is outright horrific. Especially the lines at checkout.
I think, if you know exactly what you want their ok. Otherwise I like the little place in town, attached to the hardware store. Got some old guys in there, young guys, they'll render their opinion on anything in there. They can order most anything too. Your gonna pay a little more than at BassPro though...

No Bass Pro Shop in southern California? Do they sell Ammo at the Wal-mart like they do here?

yeah ive been to both, hell the Bass Pro in Broken Arrow is literally 2 miles from my house. bass pro is pretty good, but i think Cabela's is about unbeatable. that gun library was crazy, never seen anything like it. just aisle of guns to take right off the shelves yourself as you please. and so many of them. that and everything ive ordered from their catalog (virtually every piece or hunting gear i own, and some), has flawless and very sturdy craftsmanship, they've always been good on customer service for me, too..

Dude!! That's the Pro Bass Shop in S. Las Vegas!! Those are the dioramas I was describing.
And yes, they have a tank. But it's for display only. They have a 17lb Large Mouth Bass in it!! And even bigger Catfish.
