I think I may go see it tonight. haven't fully decided yet. Anyone else? I love the first one, the next two were pretty crappy compared, IMO. They were completely different film styles and I did not enjoy that at all. I hope this returned to the noir, dark atmosphere.

Yep, I have always been a big Batman fan. I agree the first movie was good, the rest sucked. I hope this one will be much metter, a little darker and not so much meant for kids. Thats why they the Batman cartoon series... which I loved when I was a kid by the way... :smirk:

I want to go see it on IMAX, but the Pittsburg theater doesn't have it. I would have to go home(the closest IMAX to my hometown, like 30 minutes from, is the only one in PA that has Batman on IMAX  )

I need to read them but I'm told "Sin City" is the most faithful Comic adaptation yet. I've seen the movie and its at the top of my favorites. Glad to hear the movie rocks :D

I plan to go see it on Friday night. I love Batman. I was very disappointed with the first movies. The first one was ok. The rest were horrible. BIG disappointment. For those who have seen it, is it as good as the Spiderman movies?

I wanna see it. I liked the first two batman movies. but the rest got too goofy for me. When I first saw the preview for Batman Begins, I thought it looked dark and got excited to see it. I also was a fan of the batman cartoon, watched it all the time when I was a kid.

Agree on all counts, and the new one is rivaling the first in my book.

definitely gonna go see this. It'll be good to see batman flicks go back to their dark roots. 1989 Batman was a good flick, saw it 6 times in the theater... all the sequels sucked though, including batman returns. I'm sorry, but penguins firing rockets off their backs is just beyond stupid. Tim Burton's wackiness has its places, in a Batman flick isn't one of them. Anyway, as a big Morgan Freeman and Gary Oldman fan I'm pretty impressed with the cast they put together for BB... should be good.

I think you'll really like it.

As for Tim Burton, 5 words, "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory". Can't wait for that one.

ehhh, Im not so sure about C&TCF... the original is classic, it may be one of those flicks best left alone. We'll see though... TB's wackiness will undoubtably on full display tho, so maybe he'll be able to pull it off. We'll see!

I think he can pull of C&TCF because of a closer adaptation of the book, giving light to the real viciousness and insanity of Wonka that was muted in the first. The first is undoubtedly one of the best filmes ever made though.

There's no earthly way of knowing
    Which direction we are going

I think he will take it the steps farther it should have been the first time. But with the times it was made and it didn't happen.

Just got back, saw it at the local drive-in. I LOVED IT! Nothing like seeing a highspeed chase with 44" TSLs!

Yep we have a dual screen drive-in, and you tune into the movie through your radio. So if you have a system in your car, it's just like being in the theater without leaving your car. It was pretty nice watching the movie in my girlfriend's Bose equiped Trailblazer :smirk:
