    I have a leak in the throtle shaft, can i just remove the intake manifold, and change the seal in the shaft? thanx.

    If I remember correctly, you will have to take the whole pump apart to replace that seal.... That's alot more work than I suggest anyone getting into.... DieselDan or some of the other guys on here might know better or a secret to getting that seal out, but I don't mess with that one... Sorry! In any way, I would take the pump out if you were to break into trying to rebuild it!

    You only have to remove the governor IIRC, the flyweights, springs and such. Call a pump shop near you and see what they would charge to replace it if you bring the pump to them. I wouldnt suggest doing it on your own if you dont know the inner workings of the pump.
