Gotta get done and ready , what I have left to do , going in the sheetmetal 83 :D

I am getting new lights asap for Matts old front bumper .

Gotta put my 28 spline front carrier in , so Marv can have the 30 spline stuff .
Pack an extra 12 bolt shaft ( I have been carrying one ) .

Mount Matts old rear bumper .

Get these sliders in ........FINALLY :wink1:

Top off everything and change oil the week of .

And if I can find one under 150 , maybe a front lockright .

What else if everyone else doing beforehand ???

Take a whole set of front shafts w/ you if possible... Assembled w/ joints and all.

A spare rear driveshaft would be smart too.

Couple of things come to mind- Doublecheck all suspension/ steering components. A shakedown run to work out any unforseen oops.

I wouldn't lock the front without some local wheelin on it first, Moab is a long way, and most trails are remote.

Some other things I'm sure you thought of- Recovery gear, First aid, Spare fuel, and the like.

Are you towing or driving the Blazer up there?

Steering gear. A spare arm (stock works fine as a fix) and a spare drag link and tie rod at the least.

Got all that , was interested in what everyone else is doing first :D

Fred , I am taking the 83 . Trailrig could be running by then , but logistically impossible to take it , and no cage ( yet ) !

Nothing really just the usual type stuff:
take my buggy completly apart, fix a few bent and battered tubes, correct a few mistakes from the original build, and paint it.
New gauages in the D-max, make sure the trailer is up to snuff etc.

Rework rear bumper and tire carrier (fine tuning)
Fix rear window rolly downy mechanism that just decided to break.
Figure out if I need to shim the new rear springs I just installed.
Collect my spare shafts (drive & axle) and figure out where to stow them.
    Install power steering cooler.
Make a couple more shakedown wheelin trips. :wink1:
