    048
    049
    045
    063

Four castings available....Are the 048 and 049 the same, there is 1 of each....

The 045 looks to be a closed chamber....

Is the 063 what is referred to as the peanut port?

I'm not real up on BBC but I know the 045 heads aren't that good. They are the small oval port heads. I think they are the ones refered to as peanut ports

The 049 is a good head for a 454 they are the large port open chamber. But you need the matching intake.
There are diferent intakes for the large port and the small port.
The 063 was used on 427s 396 ect. I think it is a performance, closed chamber, High compression ratio head

    Dont know about the 048

A 781 is a near identical match to an 049, none of the others listed.

i run 049's on a 69 chevy 2wd. u can make a lot of power w/ them. u just need a domed piston to get the compression where it needs to be. they have 122cc combustion chambers
