Just some info for people considering swapping in a BBC or have a torqy SBC.

Been told by many that I should be using a BBC motor mount for my Blazer (currently using stock 350 motor mounts). Supposely the rubber in the BBC mounts is better or has more of it. Ok fine. Go to NAPA yesterday and asked for a K30 motor mount with a 454. Get the parts go home and guess what, don't fit, both sides. Take them back to find something else. Nothing else will work with my frame/crossmember, not even 3/4 ton mounts so I'm stuck with stock 1/2 ton SBC mounts.

Called 4 Wheel Parts today and asked them about Energy Poly mounts. They have them in stock so I go and take a look. Much more poly compared to the stock 1/2. 3/4 and 1 ton rubber mounts. I think these Energy motor mounts will do the trick for a BBC. Wouldn't hurt to have these even if you had a HP small block. Just passing on the info.

On a truck originally equipped with a big block from the factory, the motor mounts are different than the small block. One of the holes are in a different location than the other. Just my .02 worth.

The K30 mounts had the wrong bolt locations plus one was "stepped" and there was no way it would work.

I think ORD's might be a better design but they do cost a little more ($150/pair compared to $50/pair). Also, Steve Fox uses the Energy's with no additional engine vibration where the ORD's mounts may cause more vibration. If I do have problems with the Energy's then I will switch to ORD's and pay a little more.
