Are there any clearance issues when trying to put a 4 inch (454) stroke crankshaft into a 4.125 inch (402) block? I know this is not the *preferred* method for making a 427, but I gotta try and work with what I have.

No, there will be no clearance issues at all.

BTW, if you are putting a 454 crank into a 396/402 (same thing) block, you will be making a 435 cubic inch engine, not a 427.

The 427 is made by using the 396 crank and installing it into a 454 block. /forums/images/icons/wink.gif
