Sorry while I am in the bitching mood. Just wanted to let everyone know my winch was stolen about a month ago. It was a superwinch X9 on a hidden hitch cradel. I had it locked down too, they unbolted the hitch any took it all. Cut my battery cable and stole one battery. Stereo was bolted down so they couldn' get that. Finger prints were all over the mud on the truck but cops said they couldn't do anything with that, it wasn't worth the time even though there was over $1800 worth stolen. Best part of it is that the truck was parked right next to department of public saftey at my school. I bet they helped the guy lift the winch into his car. I''m getting bummed lately. Anyone else had their winch stolen? I don't know what the heck I am supposed to do anymore to keep things secure. Maybe I should just keep a pitbull chained to my truck 24 7.
    Well Thanks for listening,
    Mike

Nu uh...it's on my truck now. [IMG]

I'm going to have a reciever on the front of my truck and the back, and then I'm gonna pump some iron and that winch is gonna stay inside the truck and I'll take it out when I need it. I'm not going to leave the winch outside the truck. A freind of mine's winch was stolen when he was selling his truck. Sorry to hear that is was stolen. Those are pricy items.

It's been lovely, but I have to scream now.

When mine was a daily driver, I used to park the front of the truck all the way against something (wall, chain link fence, pole, etc) when in shady areas to make sure the winch would still be there upon my return.
