Every so often, on a slow morning here at CK5, I'll see what other members have been up to by checking out their myspace pages or their photo albums. Well, this morning I realized that the link to Jeremy's myspace page is in his sig, so I gave it a click.

    www.myspace.com/greasedog

Now, I realize that Beater's musical tastes are somewhat diverse, but C'MON MAN!!!!!!!!! Rascal Flats????? :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I heard that song 7 million times when it first came out in 1990- it was one of the BIG SONGS at the bar I worked at. And now my kids are walking around singing it. Life is funny sometimes.

I'm very unconfortable with the word fag.

    It's not quite descriptive enough:
    Fag may refer to:

    * A British colloquialism for cigarette
    * Fagging - reference to a junior boy who acted as servant to a senior boy at a British independent school. “Fag” came to mean a tedious or labour-intensive chore, and “fagged out” to mean exhausted by hard work.
    * ****** (epithet) or fag, an American generally pejorative term for a gay man, or for men who are judged to be "unmanly", weak or effeminate
    * Guatemalan Air Force or Fuerza Aerea Guatemalteca
    * FAG Kugelfischer, a German company that manufactures ball bearings
    * ****** (food), an English food that is a cross between sausage and haggis
    * Film Actors' Guild, a fictional evil organization of liberal actors led by Alec Baldwin in the movie Team America: World Police; a parody of the Screen Actor's Guild
    * A bundle of sticks used for firewood.

They actually put on a good live show . And have a nice interlude where the fiddle player just rocks . And some of their stuff just has good words and music anyway .

I dare anyone who actually plays an instrument to listen to the whole album , any of their albums . And then listen to a handful of other country albums too . Namely Pat Green , Josh Turner , Dierks Bently , Billy Currington , and Josh Aldean to name a few .

And I dare anyone to flame me . I am an adult with responsibilities I meet , so I am entitled to my own opinion :thumb:

    Pauly:

It's easy to take someone else's song and make it sound good- ask me how I know. Composing an original song and adding good lyrics to it is an entirely different deal. It annoys me that 90% of the people out there don't realize that Rascal Flats DID NOT write "Life is a Highway".......

actually, i have taken a liking to the song, only in the Chris LeDoux version which i recently rediscovered.

however, since Chris passed away nearly 3 years ago, surprise surprise, he doesnt have a myspace page to post it on. they're the next best thing.

Nope. Owen Wilson does the voice for the main character in the movie "Cars", and the ripped off version is on the soundtrack. There's the connection.

i've got 4 of the 5 albums listed, Jason Aldean actually lived in my CD player for the first month that i had it. EXCELLENT CD!

i'm one who can appreciate any kind of music, listen to some of the boy band stuff... good message in there, and it'll get ya laid... :deal:

in the words of Chris Cagle... "Cause the chicks dig it..."

I personaly think Rascal Flatts sucks ass. I hate the band. Their CRAP aint real country music.

The Jason Aldean CD is awesome. Amarillo Sky is one of my favorite songs.

I dare yall to listen to Aaron Watson if you want to get a taste of real country music. Aaron is real TEXAS country.

I'm not a fan of Pat Greens new stuff. I like his old stuff from back in the day before he went Nashville. I remember seeing Pat play at Schroeder hall (2nd oldest dance hall in TX) for 10 bucks. Now hes main stream. His music sucks and he charges way to much for tickets.

Yall should also check out Roger Creager, Wade Bowen and West 84, and Kevin Fowler.
