$UCK$!!! Ever since they bought out the company I work for (Christmas Tree Shops) they`ve done nothing but bad. Now they go ahead and make our anual holiday party non-alcoholic. Figures, the year I decide to go, I don`t get to see the "other side" of my co-workers.

Yea, some have already planned that, bringing little nip bottles, maybe a flask or 3....

I don`t think my work place would support underage drinking though:rolleyes:

    Wrong order??

    Shouldn't it be "Bath,BED,and Beyond??...I mean,who goes to bed,then takes a bath??..

Anyhoo,I hear ya--I've worked at places that were "taken over" by new managment, and all the fun was quickly taken out of working there--all kinds of idiotic new "rules" to follow,no more talking or joking between co-workers,time limits on bathroom visits (that one pissed me off, having had stomach and bowel problems ,mostly induced by working there!)--and countless other things the anal new owners wanted changed..

It used to be a fun place to work--suddenly it was like the gestapo took over..the days quickly became long and tedious, instead of passing quickly, and no one dared to protest the new rules, after one guy who did was fired..a tense feeling of anxiety fell over us,none of us liked working there any more ..more employees called in sick more often, and morale went into the toilet..

They ended up losing all of us--eventually one by one we got sick of being harrassed ,not being able to smoke, told when to take lunch (never at the same time 2 days in a row),etc, and we all quit!...work sucks bad enough without feeling like your in jail being watched all day,or treated like your in a kindegarten class...
