Has anyone out there ever put spray on bedliner (line x)on the outside body panels? I thought about it but not sure how it will look.

I got a buddy who did it, looks good from a distance, he did it in black and gold on the bottom, sure is practical, but it adds a lot of weight. Looks just like bed liner up close, with the pock marks and all.

I think it is 300.00 to do an actual bed, and I think he paid 850 to do the whole thing, but he clear coated it also to make it shine a bit. Just make sure the surface is prepaired, some applications recomend going all the way to bare metal.

I did the outside red. My mistake was I thought it was to bright of a red when I put it on.. So I wanted it to fad a little then put on the sealer.. But by then the mud was all inside the cracks.. So it always looks dirty now.. One day I will put a fresh coat over it a seal it...I like it and would probably do it again..
