Morning everybody - This past weekend, I added Duplicolor Truck Bedliner to the lower body of my Jimmy. I think it looks sweet! It's not too thick like undercoatings, but should be enough for rock chip protection. Plus, if I ever need to 'touch-up', I'll just get another can. Napa carrys the stuff. I added pics of the job to my webshots page in my sig text. - G

Hey Gary that looks pretty damn SWEET. How many cans did it take to do that? How much per can and what kinda prep did you do? Good job.

I bought two cans just to be sure I had enough... I still have about a half a can left. I did both sides and the front, but still need to do the rear. Just didn't have enough time to pull the bumper Sunday night. As for the prep, I sanded the slight surface rust in the door jamb, and just roughed up the rest that was painted. That's it. Two coats and voolah! - G

Sorry... forgot to answer that part.... Napa sells it up here in Alaska for $7.50/can. But everything is slightly more expensive up here due to the shipping. Should be a buck or two cheaper down in the lower 48. Again, it's called Truck Bed Liner, and is made by Duplicolor and comes in an aerosol can. - G

I'm in the middle of cutting my front fenders so this duplicolor stuf may come in handy here. Thanks,

Im wanting to do this to my K10. How does the liner react to the UV rays from sunlight?(does it fade pretty quick?)How long have you had it done? Does it hold up pretty good?
    Thanks,
    Matt

Well, I did that mod this past summer, when we had 22 hours of daylight, and no problems. It's winter now (-30 below sometimes) and still no probs... I sold the Jimmy a few weeks ago. Alot of folks liked the looks of the liner spray on the lower body. It'll help out with rock chips. My neighbor behind me did it first, and I had to do it to mine. I went a step further and did my topper too. Made it look brand new! - Gary
