I've been seeing a lot of progress posted lately on some of the other North Texas CK5 restos. I guess the weather is finally good for truck-workin! /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif Anyway, thought I'd post some updated before and after pics of mine. I also did a garage paint job. It's finally road/trail ready after only 3.5 years /forums/images/graemlins/ignore.gif Before and After pics: http://jt-k5.rockcrawler.com/before-after.html
Hope to see you other 1st genners on the road!

Thanks. Well, I'm not sure if a hard top will fit since I got rid of mine long before I built the cage, but I did ask a couple people to take some measurements of the interior space in a first gen and then built the cage with a 1/2 inch to spare in each direction. That's kind of why the rear hoop is brought in 1.5 feet. I may get a soft top at some point, but really designed it for no top. I have waterproof seats, gauges,cb, and a bedlined tub.

i have seen this rig in person a few times, and it is one very very sweet ride, everything has been cleaned and rebuilt or painted and put back together by a person who obviously takes the time and tlc to make a rig the best he can, lots of nice fabrication in the cage and bumpers, i know jeff plans on keeping this one a long time

gonna have to come and see it again now /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

    Thanks folks!

Ray, I could never make you (king of awesome parts)look bad. By the time you are done with your M715 it will be a show winner. I just wish it was done /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif. Now get back in the garage and hurry up /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif. See ya round.

Haven't seen you in these parts for a while...

Looks great, you're an inspiration which is often the difference between whether we spend our time tubing out watching football or working on our trucks.

Remember when I got your advice on taking the body off the frame? That was 2 years ago, and I'm almost ready to put the body back on. 2 years of effort requires a lot of inspiration...
