Anybody have an oil pan that they would be willin to part with for a 350 preferably straight? /forums/images/graemlins/whistling.gif I was crawlin around under Ole Wimpy and noticed (again) the pan is really caved in and I'm thinkin I might be havin an oil starvation problem. Thanks in advance. /forums/images/graemlins/bow.gif

    Good luck in the future.

Whenever. /forums/images/graemlins/waytogo.gif I've been drivin the truck this way for a couple of years now (previous owner caved it in /forums/images/graemlins/angryfire.gif) so I think a bit longer isn't gonna make any difference.

Good luck to y'all in the future.

That is actually all i would, you have to remove it anyways, just drop it and take a 2x4, stick in on the bottom of the pan and use a big hammer on it. worked for me on other cars anyways.

Yea maybe I will. We'll see. I was just hopin to find a straight one that someone had layin around for a couple of years to avoid the poundin aspect. Besides if y'all happen to find one I can see those nifty new searchlights you have installed on your truck.

Good luck to y'all in the future.

I'll leave the garage door open....... /forums/images/graemlins/whistling.gif

I have one on my old motor. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif Someday I'm going to pull the heads and sell cheap/give away the short bock. It only has 20k miles on it but also had a bad rod knock. Don't see much difference if it has a oil pan or not. Probably could put a new crank in it and be a good motor but I just want it out of my garage soon. /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif

Not to be the bearer of bad news, but Mike, yours is an 87 so its a one piece rear main motor. Those would have a different oil pan than Allan needs , right? /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif

    Allan,

If you cant find one used you can pick a new one up really cheap, I think somewhere around $20-30. It may be chrome though /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Chrome??? Hmmmm. That would be the only chrome piece on the entire truck. Ah hell, who cares? Give Ole Wimpy a month or two and it'll be all grimy and what not so you won't be able to tell it was once all shiney.

Good luck to y'all in the future.
