what is the best 6 inch lift for my 88 jimmy? I want to get 35's under there, and with no trimming. I am a 16 year old so i am not a money bag. What about the combo packages from 4-wheel parts(the ones with lift and tires and wheels) Can i get 35's with a four inch and no trimming, and them work well? I want to do that for 2500 or less

My choice would be Tuff Country or BDS. 4WPW package deals use Pro Comp. Having just gone from a 4" Pro Comp lift to a 6" BDS lift, I can honestly say, "no comparison." My advice is to save your money and plan ahead for what you want to do with your K5. If you by bargin stuff the first time, you will replace it later.

Formerly "Big Dick's Suspension". Guess they caught too much flack for the name? [IMG]

Anyway, BDS is regarded by many as one of the best lift springs for leaf sprung suspensions while staying at a reasonable price point. In fact, I see a set of BDS in my future. Tough Country EZ Rides are sold by ORD and are comparable I'm told. Some people like one, some another.

yeah BDS is still in Business as, a matter of fact, there based out of ColdWater Michigan,

i have a BDS 6" lift and i wouldn't trade it in for anything, i have drove my friends K-5 with a SkyJaCker 6" lift and i was basically bragging about mine ever since :) considering i know he put more money into his then mine, it one of the appreciating things about getting your bang for the buck.

1987 Chevy K-5 350 TBI 700R-4 Tranny, 6" BDS suspension Lift dual TrailMaster stabilizers some puny 10 bolt axles, "dont laugh i am working on it :) " sitting on 38" ThornBirds, which i will drive untill there bald, then buy a quality tire :)
