    How about....

One-Point-Twenty-One.....Jigga-Watts? Just like the Flux-Capacitor in "Back To The Future"??? [IMG]

There will be a general recommended range from the speaker manufacturer. You really can't overdo it with "clean, undistorted" power..... Each of my 10" subs gets 200W, and they seem happy with that.....you eventually reach a point of "diminishing returns"......you could put a 1000W amp on each one, but it won't really sound much better than, say, 400 Watts......

Stick with a "brand name" amp....avoid the "el-cheapo" stuff that claims High-Power numbers....that's the stuff that will ruin speakers in a hurry.......A 1000 Watt amp for $100 is bad news [IMG]

Try to match the RMS power from the amp and RMS power of the subs. That way it will sound the best at the amps RMS power. Instead of having to little RMS coming from the amp Eg. Amp 2x50 rms subs RMS 100. get an amp to do 2x100 rms so it can match the subs and maximize quality.

There are good sub amp combo. or in other words some subs sound really good with a certain brand. don't ask me why I just have heard this from competitors. the only combo I know is JL with Xtant. pick up a car audio mag and 90% of the time you'll see JL's powered by Xtant.

about the power issue. It was mentioned before that the pwer you throw at them doesn't really matter. that is exactly right. i was giving my JL more than they were rated for and they still wanted more juice. you want to get an amp that is going to have some headroom meaning that if your subs are rated at 200 watts and so is your amp then you have to really work your amp. you'd rather have an amp you don't have to work. the harder you run your amp the more distortion there is, bad RF, runs hotter and the worse it is for your speakers.
don't buy cheap amps! cheap subs and speakers are acceptible but not amps. like your truck is only as tough as it's weakest parts, your car stereo is only as good as it's worse component.
hey, you know anybody that wants to buy two JL 12w6s in a custom built sealed box? $300

Pioneers go good with kenwood amps. As for your 10s probably a good amp like clarion or kenwood with around 300-400 watt would be good. You can go smaller with clarion because the are underrated. I had a 230 watt clarion going to two rockford 10s and it out hit two rockford 10s with a 400 watt rockford.
