Went into Best Buy to get rechargable batteries and a case for my new camera. Well I got that and ended up walking out with a new laptop also. :doah: It happens to me way to much.

I have the same problem, but instead on the Snap-On truck. I go to give my dealer a $100 payment, and come off the truck with $175 worth of more tools. I'll get my bill payed off real quick at that rate...:doah:

Happens to me at the donut store. Go in for some coffee and come out with 2 dozen donuts and a fat chick.

Best Buy is "ok"... I like Frys more though. They have everything at Frys... from basic electronic components (think Radio Shack 20 years ago, when it was worth a crap) all the way up to the most cutting edge tv/pc stuff. They always have Xbox360s and PS3s running on ginormous screens/sound systems these days too. Its almost like going to an arcade, but free. ;)

I don't understand you guys and the impulse buy thing with respect to electronics. I would never buy an electronic item without doing hours and hours and hours of internet research on prices, reviews specs etc before buying something. I have to know that I am getting good gear at the best price... not just "wow, this camera is cool and the price looks pretty good too!" and out the door. Thats a road I don't wanna travel down. Best way to get juiced or end up with crap gear I can think of.

*start of rant* I bought a portable DVD player at Best Buy last month to keep in the car (gotta do something while driving in Los Angeles ;)) and they charged me $6.00 extra to pay for the manufacturer's packaging.

Seems the PITA-slit-your-wrists-and-bleed-to-death-before-911-arrives -trying-to-open-the damn-thing plastic packaging now requires a hefty recycling fee that apparently the consumer can't recover.

I'm not buying anything else from Best Buy, I'm sending them a letter to that effect and sending the damn plastic packaging to the manufacturer demanding my recycling fee back or I'm not buying anything else from them either.

Bye Bye Best Buy. I'll impulse shop somewhere else. *end of rant*

Wow Cali is more F-up than what I thought. $6 recycling fee for packaging? That is crazy.

Hey now, give me two or three months, and I'll actually have my rig somewhat ready to wheel.

sweet dude, thats what I'm talking about. This machine would be for web surfing, cheesy/simple games, word processing etc. I just don't need a super-bling processor / gpu. A refurb would work great. :)

Gotta buy a house first though, but I'll be in touch!
