What is the best spray on degreaser out there. I cannot get my pressure washer under my truck (I refuse to do it in the shop on the lift..too messy) I tried kerosene through my blow gun and it kinda worked.

I tried that once apon a time....maybe I just dint buy the right cleaner....it dried before it cut the grease and left a sticky white film all over everything.

just go buy a can of Gunk or whatever they have at the parts store. The stuff is like $2 a can and works great no matter what kind you get.

This is the best stuff I have found yet, it is non flammable & biodegradable. You can clean almost anything with it, I was amazed at what it did for my oil soaked carpets in my truck.

201-944-8888 This is the only info I have on it.

Anytime I want to cut grease and have a little time to spare, I get out the handy ol' can of Brake Kleen...........the stuff loosens grease and oil on contact and after a few minutes, a couple of swipes with a pressure washer deals with any leftover goo.

GM engine shampoo works pretty well too. A little more costly though...............

Super clean works pretty good but fair warning about it and some paint. Will clean it down to the bare metal. I have stipped paint off an air cleaner with it before. Also watch it around stuff with bearings like alternators. Dries them bearings right out [IMG] Probably not a good ideal on A/C clutches for the same reason.

That's true. I use it mainly underneath, but it's done a little fading.

I've always had great success with Gunk engine cleaner. Just be sure to get the original stuff and NOT the new "foamy" formula. The foamy stuff didn't work worth a darn for me. [IMG] The original formula says something on the label about containing petrochemical ingredients. Smells like it's part diesel fuel! [IMG]

Superclean by Castrol in the purple bottle works the best. We use it for everything. We even cleaned our dog house with it once. Works awesome!

I have tried them all. I have found that a product called Steam Clean. It is in a black can with Silver lettering. It is made by Gumout/Pennzoil. You just let the engine get warm, spray it on, then hose it off. It works great.

Read the label carefully on some of those purple cleaners. Some are very caustic and will eat skin, aluminum, etc. [IMG] Be sure to follow the directions closely!

I will loudly second what Harry said. What ever you use, read the label!!!!!! I recently used a product called Lightning Degreaser. Stuff works great, but is hell on aluminum and painted surfaces.
