best place to buy a miller welder

    i realise the hobart is cheaper....and if you compare the 2 brands side by side the miller is the better built welder....IMHO

    They're made by the same company according to Baddog.

    Any part that may break in the Hobart can be replaced directly by a miller part if you ever have issues.

    so whats the point in buying the cheaper welder if ill hafta replace the parts later? ide rather spend a little more now and not hafta worry about it again....

    Either way Ebay has good deals on both welders. Go for the miller if you prefer, it costs $100-150 more.

    Farm and Fleet (only a store we have here) has the Hobart 175 on sale here for $499 this weekend. I'm broke though so no welder for me.

    Have you checked locally? My local dealer was able to beat just about any price I found elsewhere. Plus I didn't have to worry about shipping. He was also willing to throw in consumables, etc.

    ya yesterday i went to a local shop.....his price was very close to the online discount places and hes throwing in a 10 pound spool of wire and 5 tips.... /forums/images/graemlins/peace.gif.....
