Well whats the best place to purchase used guns. I would really like to purchase a few more guns, as I only have my two twelve gauge shotguns. I really want a hand gun, and would like to purchase one used to keep the cost down. Any tips and pointers??

Check pawn shops, your paper's classified section, and www.guntrader.com.

Edit: My mistake, it's gunbroker.com, not guntrader.

if you can find a "wholesale plus" dealer (mine is wholesale plus $10) you may be surprised at how little difference from new and used.

You can check Gander Mountain, the one I got to always has a good selection of guns long and hand.

The pawn shops suck around here... Way over priced, and they have crap for selection. I went to the local sporting goods store, but they only have a .22 in stock, and I want something a little bigger then that. I also would like to shoot the thing before I purchase it. I just do not want to be unhappy with something I just purchased.

Too bad you're not out here. There's a couple gun stores out here that have TONS of used firearms. Imbert & Smithers, which is where the Mythbusters get thier guns has a couple hundred used rifles and shotguns in thier showroom. Lot's of used handguns too.
