I'd like some opinions on the best wheel width for a 37x12.5 tire. 8 or 10? Thanks in advance.

<font color=blue>I've been running 12.5" tires on 10" wheels for a few years and I like it. I've seen some others run them on 8" wheels but if the pressure is not correct they'll wear in the center more than on 10" wheels

10 would be prime, but they can be hard to seat, and starting fluid isn't as cheap as it used to be. 8" w/ 37's should be ok because the big amount of sidewall, it makes a less dramatic taper, on 15" rims i'm assuming.

The rule is, keep the rim width within 1 inch of the tread width. Since most 12.50 tires have about 9" tread width, you guessed it, 8 or 10 are both acceptable.

Best bet is to measure the tread width of the tire you want to run before you buy rims. Keep in mind, that's TREAD width, not section (sidewall to sidewall).

I have had both, I like 10" better.
