Does a 454 TBI unit have a bigger bore? If so would it be useable on a 350?

Yes , it does - I think it is 2" . I have heard of some BB TBI's being used on some larger displacement SB's but I don't know what was modified to make them work .

The BBC TBI has 2" bores, The small blocks have 1 15/16 or so. The BBC also has higher flow injectors. It should give you a couple of HP, and is the unit to use on a modified engine. The problem you might run into is the manifold. The bores on the TBI manifold- both stock and on the Edel performer TBI, are 1 15/16. Holley makes a couple of TBI manifolds that have the bigger bores. They make 2 versions, for -86 and 87-95 intake patterns. Holley also makes a high flow TBI unit with 2" bores that should bolt right on. Thirdgen.org has a great TBI tech section with lots of info.
