Actually this is the original intended 2nd generation K5 Blazer, but the engineer who designed and brought this production was bannished by the closet epa-fanatics on the Gm board of directors of that time. They were also behind the design and production of weaker corparate 10 bolt axles and weaker running-train. Ironically, these board members were found driving Jeep Cherokees, and were hunted down and beaten with the tiny axle shafts by a posse of ill-tempered customers. These members were found to be from the Jeep marketing R&D to boost the same drive-train production in their Jeep line...amazingly never happened because their line was corrupted by some renegade Yugo fanatics. The image of the bannished engineer (whereabouts unknown at this time, believed to be heavily guarded in eternal comdemnation by driving demolition derbys in a yugo somewhere in Slovinia) will be immortalized in bronze if a picture is ever found....true story. Big reward for the image /forums/images/graemlins/deal.gif
