Finally gettin' my 74 blazer, 87 suburban, and a friend, Sam's crew cab contraption pics up. the blazer has 18 inches of homebuilt lift, the sub is injected with 4 inch lift/35 inch tires, and the crew cab contraption has 40's on stock (yes stock) suspension, using an 86 1/2 ton 4x4 chassis, 89 crew cab cab, with homebuilt center pivot body mounts, rigid blazer rear box mounted to the cab not the frame, so it flexes, also removed any unnessesary crossmembers...the last crossmember from the centre of the truck back is under the back of the cab, and it has been somewhat "relieved". running a 700R4/208 case, 350 engine, and stock powertrain gives it great reliability(3 years in it's present state trouble free. it goes anywhere(we mainly mud run up here)check out the articulation in the pics(we broke through the ice) yes, the snorkel comes in handy...building the same thing with the white suburban, using an s-10 ext. cab, on pivots. more pics as they happen....Ed [image]http://y42.photos.yahoo.com/fasteddy454 click on "my toys"
