Hiya folks. Just bought a 1987 Blazer K5 and thought I'd seek out some fellow owners. This is my second 4x4, I sold a 1987 Jeep Comanche with 3" lift and 31x10.50 mudders. I liked the idea of a big, manuverable, real truck with solid axles and a V8!!!

I'll probably have lots of questions to post, but I'm pretty good technically, so maybe I can lend a hand to some other follks as well.

Real happy with my truck so far, 103K miles and feels pretty new. Even the 305 TBI is strong!!! Look forward to meeting everyone and sharing some stories. :)

1987 K5 4x4. Still has temp tag, gimme a break. May have auburn posi. 31x10.50x15 "car tires". Gotta open her up and see what needs to be done!!!

Welcome aboard. I think you mistyped the engine, should be a 350 not a 305 unless somebody changed the engine.[IMG]

Thanks for the replies. Actually, it really is a 305, unless comeone changed the emissions tag, window sticker, and glove box door build sheet. They all specify 5.0L EFI. Suprised me too, I thought the 350 was standard in 1987 on 4X4's, it also has a 3:42 open. THere is a reciept from Super Shops for a Auburn HD Posi, as well as the installation manual for it in the glove box, so i am assuming that it is installed. Interesting truck. It has all the original reciepts in the glove box. It is a 1 owner truck from Pa. I'm half tempted to call the guy!!!!
