    Ok folks, here it is.

    http://www.miobi.org/MemorialDay.htm

This gives you plenty of time to get ready, get your rig off the jackstands and get it on the trail. This is the best wheeling Iowa has to offer. I will be more than happy to show everyone around and organize a trail ride. I would like to get some other folks involved from iowa4wd.com to support the land owner and the club MIOBI.

Now I must say that it is not as good as places like Disney OK or Gilbert MN but It is comparable to RORP and Attica IN. The area is an old strip mine so there are large piles of leftover earth (spoil piles) that form deep cracks and trenches. This makes for good wheeling! There is mud, creeks, hill climbs. I can keep everyone busy for the whole weekend. The camping is best though. You meet a lot of great folks and consume massive amounts of alcohol. They have electric sites available.

    C'mon guys lets go WHEELING!!!

Damn, that sounds like a good time.
Unfortunately, our club has an annual run at a private quarry area every Memorial Day weekend...so, that's where I'll be...wheelin', swimmin' and drinkin'!

I'd like to get up your way and wheel with you and Kert- I'd also like to have you guys down this way some time to check out Flat Nasty ORP. It is BADASS!

I have heard nothing but good things about flatnasty. Our local club wants to plan a trip there.

The guy who runs your 20" beadlocks with tractor tires on his chevy truck is always there. Plenty of action folks.

I'll see what I can do. I don't want to go to Dresser for Memorial because it's a friggin' circus so if I can get a pull truck and the cash together I'm down for it.

Todd, I was going to consider going to this but forgot about the quarry run. Its only about 2.5 hrs from me.

We will have to make a trip up there sometime in the future. Is this park open weekly? Any link to just park photos?

It not a public park but they have public events 3 times a year or so. Memorial and Labor day and a toys for tots run in october. If a person is a member of the midwest association then something can be worked out to wheel there due to insurance issues but it's not open to anyone.
    There are trails like this

    Crevas

    Rocks
    [IMG]

    Mud

Hope you guys have a blast over the holiday weekend.
We'll be down this way tearin' it up!

There are bypass areas when you get to the hard stuff. A stock vehicle may have a problem with the wooded trails with the front pumpkin dragging.

Speaking of Iowa4wd, what's up with the site. Is it down? I haven't been able to get on it for the last couple of days.

I don't know man, that is a long drive. It is a sweet place to wheel but you are looking at a good 6 hours of seat time.

The site will be down for an undetermined period of time. Sorry to anyone who enjoyed it.
