I got some early birthday $$$ from my grandmother[IMG] and I'm thinking of going out today and getting a set of Add A Leafs at Four Wheel Parts. Should I or Should I not? Has anyone had problems with them? How long do they stay sprung? Please give me some answers, Cuz in 4 hours I'm thinking of getting them.
Thanks Guys/Gals...

I put some on my Suburban in January. I personally think that the money would have been better spent on a new set of lift springs. They don't flex very much. I can't answer your question about sagging, I haven't had them very long. They did lift my Sub and they did a pretty good hauling a trailer yesterday.

Thanks for the reply. I'm getting a 14ff and I'm thinking that the waite of it and the truck should force the leafs to flex...
Thanks again

Are you trying to cure "saggy butt", or is it for towing?

You might also consider the ORD Zero-Rates.....They can get you "level" and not mess up your current spring rate. Something else to consider is that the axle tube diameter of the 14-Bolt is going to be larger than what you have now, so you will get some additional height when you do the swap anyway.....If you decide to go with the zero-rates and later determine that you don't need them anymore....I'm sure you will be able to find another CK5'er who would be happy to buy them from you!!! Hey Ken..I bought a set from 4 Wheel Parts to fix the saggy butt on my 84. Never had a problem with them, and I think the store in San Jose is still having a sale.. I've had them for about 2 or 3 years now..

I wouldn't. I still have them on mine. I have had them for about a year now for a quick fix to get about 1" of lift. Afterward it rides very ROUGH and I have already broke my front ones out because all the weight rides on them. I just got my 4" tuff country lift w/ rear block (shakle flip later) and u-bolts (already have the steering arm) for $230 then like $40 shipping. It is 2x the price but very much worth it since it will ride better and be stronger

I had them. That was a really cheap lift. Sometimes I wish I still had it. I have a 4" lift now and I gave them to my friend. He runs the leaf in front with a 3" block out back and his truck looks real good.
