I think I'm going to start taking most, if not all my pictures in black & white from now on because of the old timey look of black & white photos. Here's a cropped version of the latest pic I took of myself tonight:

Wearing my late grandad's coat here that I inherited from him. So have any of you guys ever tried using your digital camera in black & white mode?

I love B&W photographs. I learned photography on an old Graphics view camera...single shot. You used a light meter, etc.

Landscape pictures usually look remarkably better in B&W.

Go for it. Ansel Adams did. You will be richly rewarded, it is an art.

Taken just moments ago using my camera's 10-second timer, and red-eye reduction. Not perfectly centered, but considering I was positioning the camera blind so that I couldn't really tell exactly where it was pointed, this is pretty darn good don't you think?

Not sure the year or make of the car. I'll have to ask my dad. That's a photo of the hunting cabin my Grandpa built, the photo was probably taken in the early '50s. Same cabin I use to this day. I have a whole album of black & whites of my grandpa and his hunting buddies. Here's one of him just starting on the cabin, late '40's I think. Back then, no concrete footings, just dig down to the hard dirt and drop a heavy redwood timber in. Voila!

Hey beater, my mom got me that shirt for Christmas (even though I was hoping I didn't get any T-shirts, I got way too many of those already) so I was wearing it just so I could tell her I have worn it once.

RJ, what caliber bullets were those in your pic?

The picture that started this thread was one I cropped. Here's a couple others that I've cropped too:

The drumming one you can obviously see where I made it, and it's one of my sig pics on the other forum. The other one was a test photo where I was trying to cut out as much of the unused space around the action figure as possible without cutting out any of the figure.

Not that old, actually. Maybe 5 to 10 years.

BTW, the car looks like a 64 Bel Air or Biscayne. Can't tell because I can't see if their is any chrome trim on it.
