Stop having events when I can't come!
Come on down, you'll find a seat easily!!!
OK............we're gonna cancel this one then!!!
i would love to come i just need a little reasurance before i come!!but i definitly want to come..
I want to go to Tellico. I used to fish there all the time, but I've never wheeled it. I looked at some of the pics and the rigs that are going over those rocks are a little more extreme than mine is. Would I be getting in over my head?
Here's what I have: 1976 Blazer good 350 and th350, np203 part-time, 3.08 D-44 up front, 3.08 12 bolt rear, 6 inch lift 35 x 12.50 mud rovers that have about 20% tread left. no lockers or limited slips.
I'll drive it in 4 low mostly giving a 6.16 driveline ratio. I've got decent articulation.
I have never seen what kind of terain Tellico has.
I think with 308's and 35's your trans is gonna be upset, but just my thoughts. I think you'd still have fun on alot of the trails though.
I might come up and bring my wifes fj40.
The only thing that will hurt you is no lockers. My rig last year had 350/350/203 & 10B/12B w/35's 4-5" lift w/lockers F/R. The thing that got me last year was Qjunk carb on way off camber spots.
TH350s don't care about gear ratio.
Find you a winch and bring it on.
Elliott and I were just talking about tellico the other day. He finished his sliders and is working on a rear bumper. He also got some used 38.5 boggers for the rear and some used 39" iroks for the front. I need to do some work on mine before I take it out, and I have exams all next week. I hope to work on it after that....but wont be able to make it the 5th due to my school schedule.
Yea, with no stock Yukon to slow everyone down and break someone's transmission, yall aren't gonna have any fun.
It wasn't stock.....didn't it have 285s on it?
well i prolly wont make it to this one guys..but i do hope to go to the uhwarrie june event...i need to have the burb, tow rig and trailer ready to go by then...i wanna get any bugs worked out of it by then that way i can have it straight for the east coast summer bash..anyway i hope yall have a good time and remeber lots of pics!!!
Any idea of how many people will be there?
I am thinking maybe 10 tops? not sure yet.
I would like to try out Tellico again. I've only been once and got maybee 10 minutes into trail 4 before I had to turn around. I would really prefer to take the "guided tour" of this place, as it seems that it could get real hairy really quick.
I definatly need some skid plates to play around the rocks, but since I just got a shiny new clocking ring from Bushwacker, hopefully I can get my 208 up enough to make a some skids. I may try to do that this weekend.
A good way to see a lot of the nasty stuff of Tellico is to google for pictures and vids. Its amazing what is out there. It can give you a good overview of a lot of it. After running slickrock twice now, it was amazing how much it changed in 2 years.
Come on up next Saturday! You'll be in amongst the same size rigs and ya can see how they do as they pick a line and you can then follow or pick a different line. And having Blazer/Jimmy pilots spotting fer ya helps, they know you're truck almost as good as you do!
What he said.
We hope you'll be our Master of Ceremonies for "Autumn Thump II"
