My 31 gal tank is 27"x27"x10" deep in the deep end. Reason I know is that I had to frame out an opening for it in my new frame! /forums/images/icons/wink.gif

    Hope this helps

Two different size tanks..the 31 was optional AFAIK, while a 22(?) gallon was standard. Sorry, can't help on dimenions, but with a sheer guesstimate, would say that its pretty likely a truck and K5 sending unit would interchange...lot cheaper to use the same sending unit on everything if possible, and depth is the only thing governing interchangeability. The truck tanks and K5 tank (at least 31 gallon) appear to be the same depth, at least by eyeball. You could always call the dealer and ask for the sending unit part #'s for a K5 and K10 of the same year.

Was the height calculated at the point where the sending unit fits into the hole in the tank and measured down to the bottom of the tank?

    Thanks.

I thought it would be, but thought I better ask first.

The PO of my 84 K5 blazer thought the tank was a 25 gal tank, but since the tank is 12.75" tall, the measurements I came up with calculated into the 31 gal tank.

    Thanks,

    Doug

Hmm. I guess my suburban only has a 31 in it then. Because I measured it last night at 12.75" deep. I always figured it was 38 or so.
