They can impound it? Is it your first offense or something?

Dang! We just get fines around here and then we have to show we got it registered within a time period!

In S.C. its a $60 fine, and I've gotten three in a row without even a threat of impound. I thinks its about time y'all voted them liberals outta office.

Come to Texas. Mine was not registered for 2 years! Although, I wouldn't recommend making that a habit. One thing about Texas cops, they know how to use those weapons strapped to their sides!

My truck was out of registration and they just gave me a written warning. It was out for like 3 months! [IMG] I had forgotten about it.

California is a lost cause, unless the good parts of the state suceded from the crap parts.

It's one thing to "forget" to get a new sticker on your plates. It's quite another to drive around with a limited-time, temporary paper tag for 2 months after it has expired. [IMG] That's just begging for it... [IMG]

Sorta reminds me of an old country song.... "I fought the law and the law won". [IMG]

When I bought the '85 K30, I used an old tag off a truck I just sold and drove it around for about 6 months before I finally registered. [IMG]

I still do this when I buy trucks and sell them right back out. Whats the point of paying more cash to register and insure the bastards when you only want to sell them back out? [IMG] IMO, its a waste of money and time to register everything. [IMG]

Yeah, here in montana you can drive around with mud on old plates forever. If you do get caught it isn't much of a fine. I went through a 20 day sticker and then a 60 day waiting for a title when i got my k5. So I decided to just make my own. I used an old faded registration that you put in the window when waiting for plates. Luckily the date of expiration is just written on with marker. A marksalot and 30 seconds provided me with plates for almost 8 months.

Don't get me started, you know how i get.
