I've located a clean blazer with a 5 speed getrag transmission and NV241 case. The trans/case came from a GM pickup. Does anyone know how reliable this setup is? What are the gear ratios? It does not have a deep reducton first gear. What's involved (parts cost and labor) to swap in a NV4500 or SM465? Does anyone want the getrag? Does it have any value? It drives nice on the road due to the close ratio trans, but would suffer on the trail. Any ideas what to do with this thing? Thanks, Tom

If it ain't broke don't fix it, just break it then fix it. Just a little motto........

Blood, sweat, tears, and lots of money is what keeps the k5 alive.

YOu can put the NV4500 in, in place of the jubt 5 speed with out much work as the 4500 was the upgrade for it the 465 would be a lot of work with new drive shaft and an adapter.
