Got the high bid on the Blazer and had one on one of the trucks but the auctions don't close for 15 days. Thanks for posting that. Living in Texas isn't even that close they're damn near in Mexico.

So, which one of you is the brains of the operation?
To tell you the truth it's not exactly a "brains" type operation.

Scott, can you help me navigate to the exact location on that site? Maybe I'm just dense but I couldn't find the m1028's.

Thanks!
Chris

You have to go to http://https://www.gsaauctions.gov/index.htm register as a user then go into the auctions click on trucks then it will come up with states and how many trucks are in each one. Click on texas scroll through there and the trucks are there.

Just to clarify: the M1028 CUCV (complete with D60 & GM14) is a pickup. Specifically, set up for a telecommunications shelter (RATT rig). The M1009 (blazer) which we all love, comes with the more common GM 10 bolts, turbo 400, & NP208. They're nice, if spartan, DIESEL, and have a "few" wiring differences with their civilian brethren.

What gear ratio will those axles have? 4.56?
I heard they come with detroits in the rear and truetracs in the front. Can anyone verify?
The frame - it is a SWB truck frame, right? So the rear 14b will have the normal spring perch width and not the wider 1-ton truck width, right?

On Andys site it mentions that both front and rear axles have some sort of posi traction unit in them.

The truck what the gov. refers as a ton and a quarter are long wheel base. The rearends are the narrow spring perches unlike the blazers and regular trucks. All that I heard of have the 4.56 gears and Detroits in rear. The fronts have the Dana Trac-Lock. There are different rumors to the variations of the t-case. The M1008's, I have heard, have all np208's. The other M's (not the M1009) have either the np208 or 205. For more info on each specific M, check out Andys website below:
