    Still in one piece?

How does it go? If frogs had wings , they wouldn't bust there bellies every time they jumped.

    What'd it feel like?

    Hey all
Oh man now I am kicking my self in the a$$ for for not staying.
    Cool shots.
Next time I will have the battery secured better. LOL
Other than a hole melted in the battery, the only other thing that happened on that blast up the hill (not the one he took shots of) was I managed to rip out the entire back end of the muffler. I thought it sounded different. LOL
All told it was an excellant time. We burned up three rolls of film, there should be good pics of everyone.
I can't wait till we do that again.
    Rene
Thanx for the $5 so I could get my pass into sand lake.

OK thats not fair...I haven't had time to watch the video yet...[IMG]
In one piece??? Yes and no...
I didn't break a single thing wheeling all weekend![IMG] The air time was the coolest feeling!! If you're wondering the landing was nice and flat, I'm pretty sure all 4 tires hit the ground at the same time...[IMG]

Anyways more details on that later.
This morning, after leaving Tillimook and driving to Portland the see Mudhog before I went home I was rear-ended by a 77 Ford pick-up doing about 50 MPH when she hit me! [IMG] The lady had been drinking and on pain-killers as well as anti-depressants. She claims she didn't see me???WTF? Worse yet, she had no drivers lisence, no registration for the truck and no insurance...[IMG] My rear bumper held up well, my tire carrier and tailgate didn't fare so well and will need to be replaced. I got hit so hard the floor under the drivers seat bent up from the forces on the seat...
All I've got to say is that K-5's are very tough! After the 2 hours of questions and paperwork was done with I jumped in ol tRusty and drove her 300 miles home as it was! In case you're wondering the Ford was completely destroyed, the front end was at least 2 1/2 feet shorter and the frame was touching the ground under the engine...lucky she wasn't too hurt. They took her to the hospital for a 72 hour psychiatric evaluation, apparently she was talking suicide...

All in all I'm kinda glad she hit me and not some mini-van with a family in it!

    Rene (a little sore...)

Actually Westy my neck does hurt...I'm sure I'll be real sore tomorrow!
Speaking of Police, I also got pulled over by the WA state guys just South of Seattle, and I wasn't speeding either. The guy claims I have too much ground clearance...[IMG][IMG] is there such a thing as too much ground clearance??? He then went on to say my tires stuck out too far and I need mudflaps. He also said my bumpers are too high...I guess its time to check into WA's lift laws a little. He was pretty cool about it all and let me off with a verbal warning. He probably felt sorry for me once I told him about the rear-ender.

Rene/Shannon, was great to at least break bread with you Friday night............those flying K5 pictures are unreal! Freaking unreal! You guys are the bomb!!!!!

Rene, sorry to hear of your misfortune with Ms. Percoset.......that sucks. Glad to hear your beastly home built bumpers made it, proves you built them right! As for her Furd, any pics? Would love to see the comparison! Dead Ford followed by a K5 that drove 300 miles home. Hope all is well with the tub, that comment about the drivers seat area buckling doesn't sound too good.

Make sure she pays for everything............including ruining your paint!

tRusty I'm pretty sure that up here in Washington you have too have mudflaps, But height I don't know. City of Seattle cops can be picky sometimes though! But not as bad as cops in Medina,(Gated community type place) Not only can you not go faster than 20MPH though the whole place but they are VERY picky about what kind of cars go though there.(I.E. anybody driveing something older then 3-4 years) If you drove your truck though there I'm SURE you whould get your truck impounded or something!
I'm done rambling for tonight, I hope your neck feels better soon too.
