Got a 96 zxi 900 with a hole in the motor. Anyone got a motor for sale ? On the plus side I did get to use 4wd launching the ski on the beach. (Fiesta Island). I looked on a pwc site tonight and for a reman short block they want 900.00 plus 900.00 for a core. I don't think so..
    I'ts a 96 kawasaki 900 zxi tripple...

i almost took my polaris to the delta this weekend, hung out on a houseboat all day saturday. i'll un-bury it from the depths of the garage-shaped pile o' crap, and prep it.

I bought this thing from a car lot. It has a brand new motor in it. I've had it over a year before I made time to take it out. With the kids all playing ball and stuff it's just plain hard to make the time. Any how first time out it lasted about 10-15 minutes and then the power dropped of and it would'nt rpm. It's kinda weird cause it did'nt make any funky noise, just died like when you hit the kill sw. Pulled the seat off and saw aluminum chunks rollin around in the bottom of the hull !!
Shoppin for a used motor now.

Thats sucks. My friend just blew up her jetski. I am not sure what is wrong with it, but it revs to 8,000 rpms and barely goes. There are sparks when you rev it up, so time to go back to the dealer. Still under warranty luckly.

sounds like the car lot took you. engine was going south, and you're the guy that had it when it went. that'd be too bad if it got stolen from in front of your house, and insurance bought you a new one......

I know the guy that owns the lot. He didn't take me. Got a real good deal. It was broke whe he got it and they rebuilt the motor. When I got it, it had zero hours on it. I think the guy that fixed it should stick to cars not pwcs.
