There I was having a typical day building the new ER for the hospital....

I was about ready to walk outside and look at some work being done by some sub-contractors when I seen a fast moving vehicle speed through our construction gates, (where BTW, a tanker was refueling the grade A jet fuel for the helicoptors) slam on the brakes (leaving a 30 ft skid mark), and miss the new sliding glasss front door by 4 ft (which on the other side was a man working on a step ladder).

Halfway through the adjacent doors I was screaming through the radio for immediate security assistance, the car driver ran to the passenger side yanked his buddy out (with blood gushing everywhere) and was about to drag him through the not as yet operational new ER trama wing.

I instantly got the mans attention to follow me to the side access door that leads directly into the operational side of the ER so his bud could get the much needed medical attention.

Someone needs to explain to these people your not doing your buddy any good if you get in a wreck on the way to the hospital.

I thought this is what ambulances were for!

Imagine their surprise if you hadn't been there to let them know they were in the wrong spot.

I can just see it- "Hello? Hello?"

The CSI team arrived about an hour later. On their look-through they found 7 bullet holes, pot and beer cans.
One bullet hit the guy in the head, another went through the hatchback through the seat and into the guys back.

Responding officer, who happened to be a very cute 5'4 brunette, said the caliber was a .40 (best guess).

Knowing the neighborhood I immediatly thought bad drug deal.

If any of you ever get a chance to see a car doing about 50 mph heading right for you with about 40 feet to stop you'll never forget it.

I think I'll ask security tomorrow about what happened to the guy, but I think he did'nt make it through.
