    Blowing fuse, 90\' k5

I have been blowing my heater fuse after the heater or defrost has been running for more then a few minutes. The fuse is a 25, is this the right size? Should it be bigger? The killer is when I pop this fuse I loose my speedometer, for some reason there linked together. I havent added or changed anything in the electrical system since I have owned it. Any Ideas?

have you checked to see if the resistor bridge for the heater motor is ok? or the blower motor relay?
