I have an 88 K5 and it keeps blowing ecm fuses when I turn the key into the run position. I have checked the sensors and they all seem to be fine. The wires from the ECM fuse are fine too. I'm at a loss and need some help. Has this happened to anyone else. Anyone have any ideas how to test the ECM? Any help appreciated

<font color=blue>Sounds like you have a short to ground somewhere. I would check all the positive wires going to the ECM.

    Kacksterk5,

If you were to leave the ignition in the "run" position and replace the fuse, does it still blow?

If so, you have a short to ground.

If not, perhaps you have a short in the ignition switch?

I don't know if this will help, but it might get you going in the right direction.
