bobbing and narrowing a fullsize bed?

    im thinking of bobbing and narrowing my bed.....but im not sure how much i can cut off before it would start haveing negative effects...if it would even have any at all...and how alot of the rigging up of the body parts goes to look somewhat decent

    bo it first then narrow. you can only cut so much off because of the stake pockets. i was going to do man but i jusy built a tapered flat bed. cut flush with the stake pocket and then cut just behind the rear wheel well. weld it back together then bob it.

    hmm i really like the look of that truck...did you just narrow it or bob and narrow?

    its just narrowed 28". It is a shortbox so really not a whole lot to gain but bodding it since the back of the frame/ shakles hare about the end of the bed.
