Anyone going to the Bodatious Mud Bog in Virginia on the 13th and 14th of September. Two days of mud and fun! They have all kinds of events, including sand drags, ATV racing and dirt track, as well as the mud bog. Saturday night they have a band. Should be a great time.

IMHO, bodatious sucks. I'm not trying to shoot you down ormake you upset, its just me. Their facilities are not that great, plus they dont have the management to make it what it could be.

Come a day early on the 12th to Newtown to see some real Sanddrag racing. Here's a link: Newtown

And if you do happen by, come on over and see me. We'll have the 3 cleanest GM's there. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I was thinking about doing that. What time do the races start? What are the different classes? For the street legal class can you run open headers? How long is the track? How would I get there from I-95? I am not going to be doing the sand drags, I am entering the mud bog only.

Its only sand drags. No you cannot run open headers in street class but its still fun. You can run modified if you can run faster than a 6.49 et.

Thr track is a NMRO sanctioned track. Its 300ft long.

From I-95 take Exit 104 and follow the signs to Rt 301.

    Once on 301,

Turn left (east) on Sparta Rd. (Rt. 721) off of Rt. 301, 2 1/2 miles south of Bowling Green

    Go 6 miles to Sparta

Turn right on Newtown Rd. (this is still Rt. 721)

Go 9 1/2 miles to Newtown. (when you see the Newtown P.O. on your right start slowing down, this one will sneak up on you)

Turn left on Bird’s Mill Rd. (Rt. 625, you will see the Upper King & Queen Fire Dept. on this corner)

Go 3 1/2 miles, the racetrack is on your left.

If you have any other questions let me know.

What time do I have to get there? Is there a tech inspection? Do you have to dial in your time or is it just by the fastest time? If I get on the road early enough I might show up.

You should be there around 6:00-6:30pm. There is no tech inspection really. As long as you dont have a transbrake or two-steps, or any delay boxes you should be cool.

You usually get four practice runs to establish your time, then you will have to dial-in to run in the eliminations. You are running another truck, so you have to win and not break-out.

    Hope to see you there,
    John

    Re: Bodatious Mud Bog

How many runs do you get? What is the entry fee? Also, since I have another hour or so drive after, about what time do the races end?
    Thanks

    Re: Bodatious Mud Bog

To race street class is 20 bucks. Guaranteed 5 runs, and if you do well in eliminations, you obviously get more runs. You should be out of there by 10:30 at the latest.
