Bingo. We were doing a front and rear axle swap so we had 6 jackstands under the truck. Finished up the frontend so we let it down. The rear tire was blocked but the fronts weren't. Once the front tires touched, the middle jackstands rocked back and away it went down the friggin driveway. Other carnage included my dumb ass grabbing through the grill to try to hold the truck back. The grill is also toast. Live and learn right? The one that really bothers me is the van. That's dan's wife's van. The K5s are easy to fix in comparison...

Hey Bryan
As a matter of fact, I did some wheeling last weekend in it.
Had to pull a dodge /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif & another ford out.
I broke a inner axle shaft, so im 2 bying until I can get it replaced.

Hey Man, don't drag me into this! Ok, I was pretty stupid! /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

Dan, its a good thing you didn't post pics on Pirate, they ripped a guy apart over there for using cinder blocks and jack stands - no telling what they would do to you for using jackstands on an sloped driveway!

You think it would have been worse if we told them the ones holding up the frame were on a cinder block? Btw, cinder blocks came out intact. /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Actually, we used blocks under the stands on a sloped drive way! It really was just a freak occurance... we had a set under the rear of the truck, which allowed the truck to shift its CG too far back once we set down the front of the truck... and thats what started the whole thing rolling...

My only repairs consist of a new rattle can to repaint the places that the bumper contacted other vehicles! /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
