when I bought my truck it allready had a body lift on it(3")
the speedo is'nt connected and I put 2 and 2 together.
since the body lift raised the body,is the cable too short now? I need a new one sice the connector is broken, but I dont wanna buy another cable then have it be too short,so what can i do?

nope...there should be plenty of slack in the cable for a body lift. get under the t-case and check it out.

PO had installed a 3" bodylift on my '87. Speedo was (and still is...) hooked up with what appears to be the stock cable. Granted, it's a bit tight, but not so bad that it would need to be disconnected.
Maybe some "shady activity" would explain the speedo cable being disconnected, since the odometer doesn't work without it...
