I have a set of body mounts that were suppose to originally go on my 78', but now I have a newer truck and I am replacing the rear floor and decided it might be a good time to replace the mounts since they are destroyed. My question is will mounts from a 78 work on an 87', I compared mount to mount and everthing looks the same, height and width. Is it possible to use these mounts on my newer truck and how do you feel about body lifts? Thank, Pete.

If I remember right, the 78 floor is stepped up like the 81-up floor, but I'm hesitant to say that the mounts will work out for you just because they wouldn't have a separate kit for them if they were the same.
However, it may be something trivial in the kits that makes them different, so you could try them. Maybe you should ask on the main board to see if anyone else has more info on trying to cross them over.
    Thanks

I will give the main board a try, thanks Stephen.
