Bolt size that holds adapter to a 700r4?

    Does anyone know what the bolt size is? /forums/images/graemlins/thinking.gif I need to
    heli-coil mine. The bottom two bolts stripped out /forums/images/graemlins/angryfire.gif

    3/8" x 1" grade 5.

    Oops! I mis-read your post. Those bolts are from the adaptor to the t-case. I'm 95% sure those are the same size, but I'm sure someone else can chime in to verify.

    They should be a metric 10 x 1.5 pitch

    I believe that they're 3/8-16

    Is there a spec page in a service manuel that would tell you this? I have 3 different size of bolts

    They're metric. A lot of them are stripped because they look like 3/8-16.

    Called Chevy dealership and found out they are
    M10 x 1.5 pitch. I am going to heli-coil the bolt holes and then lock-tite the heck out of the bolts. Can't believe this happened to my Bowtie tranny! /forums/images/graemlins/angryfire.gif
