What size bolts do I need to get? All I know is I drilled the frame holes out to 7/16" and I need grade 8. I bought my flips from Yield2me(thanks again), and just need bolts and I can get going.

i have never installed one, so i dont know how many, but if you have the brackets then see what size the holes are. then go get the bolts you need. rule of thumb is you want a minimum of 2 full threads on the back side of the nut showing. a lock washer, then in my world some loc-tight as well.
im guessing that they would be about an inch long.
i dont know if any of this will help ya or not...

After the rivets were removed, the frame holes were then enlarged a little to accept the new 7/16 bolts.

Hope this helps you out. /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

Hey Sled-dog, run down to Lowes/Home-Depot and check out there specialty bolt bins. Matter of fact, since neither place really keeps them stocked, you will prolly have to go to both. Get the 7/16 bolts, 2 flat washers, lock washer and nut per bolt. I cant remeber the length, but I will check. I would of sent them to you, but I lost most of them when our shop moved. Let me run out and see if I can find one to give you an exact lenght..................

Ok...I found 2 of them, and they are 1 1/2" from the bolt head to the end of the threads.

    Hope this helps!

We use a 7/16 x 1 1/4" GR8 with a pinchlock nut. Longer would probably be just fine.
