AZ car so the inside was toast but body cherry :D low mile engine but being a chevy nut the euro stuff can't stay! i just bought a 88 corvette L98 350tpi aluminum head low mile engine with the 700r4 tranny complete with all acc. ecm harness etc. what have i got myself into? :screwy: :screwy: :saweet: :saweet:

Good luck but it does bolt in. Do you already know about the JTR website if not look into it.

OMG!!!! I guess things are different over there but here they crush Jags way better condition than that...and I mean WAY better.
I love the shape of them and love the idea of a hot chevy motor in there! :D
    Good luck with it.

Throw ALL the OE electrical components away, and start over. Otherwise, you're in for a wallet depleting experience!!! I love that body style, what color is it gonna be?

I have always had a soft spot in my heart for the older V12 XJSs. Nice project!

yeah i was way underprepared :doah: borrowed a trailer with no tie downs. all i had was a couple log chains and a chain boomer. the next day the buddy i borrowed the trailer from said "hey i should have let you use my race car tie downs" :o the best thing was when the wife was driving and turned sharply enough to bust the taillight on her tundra!

:eek1: Yeah, I don't let the wife tow... I tried to teach her how to back up once with an empty U-Haul 6x12 and after 30 minutes of backing up in circles I had to step in. After that incident, there's no way she's allowed to even touch the keys to the tow rig when the K10 trailer is hooked up :D

THat car will be sweet when it's done.... Congrats and next time I'm thru there and have some time I'll check it out :waytogo:

New truck's still sailing! It cost me £1300 with insurance to ship it so an old cheaper car I guess would be about a thousand pounds, around $1700?

yeah drove the TR4's and my Triumph Bonneville in NYC in late 60's early 70's. Later on also did a commute from 20 miles into NYC every day with said vehicles. Loved that car may get another someday. Got rid of the Bonneville and got a 69 Harley.
