Check out the new gun I bought. It is a Ruger SP101 .357 Magnum revolver, with a spurless double action hammer. I bought it for conceal carry purposes. It cost me $420 out the door.

This is a Ruger catalog photo (better than my digital camera can do)

Nice piece, looks like it will kick like a mule:) Guns are cool, I like the concealment features of the gun.

Practice ALOT to get used to the DAO trigger pull. Anything more than 10 yards is just burning up ammo with this type of sidearm. Center mass is all you need to worry about hitting. Also, use the lighter slugs for less recoil, like 125gr hollowpoints, or .38 Special +P rounds for even less recoil.

    True 100%.

That said, I wouldn't carry a revolver. Yes, it's dependable, and 6 rounds is enough. I just think the muzzle blast is just too much for me in a defense situation.

Any punk ass criminal that sees and hears a shot from your piece is going to run and scream like a little bitch  The thing is, when you do pull your peace out as a defending citizen you will most likely have to defend yourself in court. Sad but true. I am a NRA member and believe in CCW's. Just be careful

Love the 7.62x51, but I will probably sell mine due to no where to shoot it :frown1:
