I went low buck on the stereo. I bought a RAGE cass/am/fm for $70. It is advertised as 50W, but the papers inside say 7W x 2 channels. I am assuming 50 W means 25 W per channel MAX only.
Then I bought a pair of 6x9's for $40, JENSEN XS1693. They are tri-ax speakers that are raed ar 60 RMS watts, 180 peak.
Is my head unit going to be enough to power these things?
Just wanting to know what you guys think of this basic stereo...

Hook it up and see how it sounds. I hear ya on the low budjet sterio. I'm on a very limited budjet myself. I want that big pounding system for the Blazer, but it's got to wait till I can aford it. I'm saving up, buying piece by piece, and hoping to win the lotto.
