    BOWTIERED it\'s boggerless what does that plug look like on a crate engine?

    Its a vaccum operated flapper valve. it closes up and restricts exhaust flow so that when the engine is cold it will warm up quicker. More force pushing exhaust gasses through there and sitting in manifold/head warms it up. I never like those things, always paranoid its going to stay shut. Though I've never seen one do anything but operate flawlessly. Amazing what you can do with just a little vaccum.

    if you follow the emissions diagram you ca find he hose that should go on. Put it on and start the rig. You can watch it work. PLay withit removing vaccum and such/

    thanks bro, the guy at the dealer had no part listing for a bolt i guess /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gifthere was nothing in the driveway so i didn't know what the hell it looked like. thanks again /forums/images/graemlins/k5.gifto /forums/images/graemlins/truck.gif
